Lucero, a passionate bilingual (English/Spanish) Early Childhood Professional in the Non-Profit Sector, boasts a remarkable career spanning over 25 years dedicated to advocating for children and families across California. Her commitment shines through various roles, from being a licensed family child care provider and preschool teacher to an early intervention specialist, supervisor, manager, coordinator, mentor, instructional coach, and consultant. Lucero's diverse experience showcases her dedication to the field.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lucero actively contributes to the early childhood education community. She serves as a Board Member of the Affiliate Advisory Council and holds the positions of Treasurer and State Director of the East Bay Chapter of the California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAAEYC) within the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). With roots in Puerto Rico and upbringing in California, Lucero is a proud mother of two adult sons, embracing both biracial and bicultural backgrounds, which has enriched her perspectives.
Outside her professional pursuits, Lucero finds joy in local beaches, practices yoga, savors coffee, and explores local farmers' markets. Her diverse background has molded her into a compassionate and open-minded individual, enriching both her personal and professional experiences.
