A comunidad for Latino ECE leaders in the Bay Area.
Unidos for ECE was established in the San Francisco Bay Area to ensure we advance the visibility, inclusion and representation of the Latino Community in Early Care and Education.
Our mission is to connect and empower Latinos in early care and education to unlock their agency, knowledge, skills, and network while deepening their community impact.
Our Work Matters
50% of California’s
young children are Latinos and by 2050, they will account for 1 in every 3 across the US.
Latinos represent
19% of the childcare
workforce nationwide
and approx. 46% in California
Yet only 12% of ECE leaders
are Latinas, despite being a large proportion of the ECE workforce.
While these numbers show a lack of Latina representation in ECE leadership, we are committed to changing this by providing tailored training, mentoring, and networking opportunities that empower Latinas to become effective leaders in their communities.

Amplifying Voices, Strengthening Impact:
Uniting Leadership in Early Care and Education
We are a pioneering, Latino-led grassroots organization advancing the priorities and lived realities of the Latino community. At a critical moment when the current political climate threatens our existence and diminishes our contributions, we stand rooted in community power and collective leadership. We work to elevate Latino voices, visibility and leadership to advance equitable policies and systems that honor the essential role Latino children, families, and the early care and education workforce play in our communities and across the nation.
